NASA’s last Space Shuttle mission returned in July of this year, which signals a major turning point in our space exploration. In this class, you'll learn this history of rocketry and how Newton’s laws elevated rocketry to a science.  In each class, students will work together to build and set off rockets of varying size, shape and power. Each rocket will help you to better understand Newton’s Law of Motion and help to prepare the group for the final rocket launch during the last class. Pairs of students will spend part of each class designing their own rocket, conducting test launches and building the final version for a competition on November 10th.

This six-week program series is for students ages 10-15. Cost includes all materials needed for rocket construction. Pre-registration is required and class is limited to 10 participants.
