Every year, La Scala officially inaugurates its opera season with an opening night regarded as the European cultural event of the year. This year, La Scala presents Mozart’s classic tale of Don Giovanni, a womanizing nobleman who is dragged down to hell after refusing to change his ways. Popular for its nimble blend of broad comedy, melodrama, and the supernatural, experience this beloved opera broadcast in HD on the big screen at BMFI!

This production, which is directed by Robert Carsen, conducted by Daniel Barenboim, and stars Peter Mattei and Anna Netrebko, runs 3 hr 15 min and is in Italian with English subtitles.
