Juilliard Quartet with Hiroko Yajima, John Dalley, Hsin-Yun Huang and Peter Wiley
November 18, 2011
The quintessential American quartet, the Juilliard ushers in its 65th season in 2011-12—their first with dynamic new first violinist Joseph Lin. The Juilliard’s many honors include four Grammy Awards and membership in the Hall of Fame of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. For their first of two appearances this season, the legendary group teams up with former members of the Guarneri Quartet (violinist John Dalley and cellist Peter Wiley), violinist Hiroko Yajima and violist Hsin-Yun Huang for a rare performance of the Mendelssohn Octet and quartets by Haydn and Martino.
