    To hear Viennese mezzo Angelika Kirchschlager’s voice—specially live—is “like running your fingers through a stretch of warm, golden sand” (Newsday). Its satiny texture, bell-like precision and an ideal coloristic range are further illuminated by a keen musical intelligence, all of which will be on display when Kirchschlager opens the PCMS Vocal Series with pianist Warren Jones in an intimate recital of lieder by Brahms, Wolf and Mahler.
