Violinist Leonidas Kavakos and Pianist Enrico Pace
November 7, 2011
In two previous PCMS recitals at the Perelman Theater, Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos enhanced his reputation as a serious virtuoso, playing challenging repertoire such as the Bach Chaconne and the Enescu Sonata with uncompromising vigor and flair. His Philadelphia return promises to be another exciting event, featuring sonatas by Beethoven and Prokofiev alongside a set of fabulously spectral preludes by contemporary composer Lera Auerbach.
