Make new friends and enjoy "Walking in the Wissahickon" during beautiful autumn. Hear rich stories of those who first used the Wissahickon, including the fascinating story of the Kelpius Society, a doomsday group known as the "hermits of the Wissahickon". Pass by some early settler's homes and learn about the first paper mill in America located in this scenic valley. Conclude the tour with friends over a drink at a local pub. Note: Transportation is not provided, but the trip is easily accessible via SEPTA’s regional rail. The Y will also work to coordinate carpools.
