The Sacred Table: Creating a Jewish Food Ethic with Rabbi Mary Zamore
August 15, 2011
Did you know that Jewish law and tradition considers our environmental responsibilities toward how food is produced and eaten? Rabbi Mary Zamore of Temple B’nai Or of Morristown, NJ, looks at the intersections of Jewish thought and food around a variety of topics including food production, the environment, personal health, animal rights, agricultural workers’ rights, and caring for the needy. Thought-provoking and discussion generating, this event will have you thinking about all things food and Jewish.
Samples of local organic food will be provided at the event.
