MUSIC

Michael Tearson with Tom Hampton
September 1, 2011
FM rock radio DJ Michael Tearson made his beginnings as a student in 1968 at WXPN. After many years of interviewing musicians like Emmylou Harris and hosting Bob Dylan Radio Hour, Michael decided it was time to make music of his own. Egged on by bandmate and co-producer Tom Hampton, Michael spent a year recording and sifting through songs with the goal of doing something far better than anyone's expectations. The result? Tearson's upcoming album, Stuff That Works (to be released in August).
