    The demonstration begins with a brief but fascinating history of pigments, oil paints and early preparation methods. Instructors will present photos and samples of raw materials like Lapis and Buckthorn, Dragons Blood and Mummy Brown, as well as sample boards to clarify the differences between various whites and blacks, transparent versus opaque color. An informative hands-on demonstration will include paint opacity, color mixing, light fastness, and the implementation of various mediums and solvents, as well materials safety data. Participants will receive free samples of oil paints and mediums. Please register in advance.
