Children can discover a world of pirate adventure as they create pirate hats and colorful parrots, listen to pirate tales and go on a treasure-hunt in the special exhibition, N.C. Wyeth’s Treasure Island: Classic Illustrations for a Classic Tale.

At 1:30 pm, the 2002 animated Disney movie Treasure Planet will be shown. Featuring the voices of David Hyde Pierce, Martin Short and Emma Thompson, this production brings Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island into the future. The film’s animators were influenced by N.C. Wyeth’s illustrations and incorporated aspects of his style into the movie’s backgrounds and settings. The film is rated PG.
