Robert Gordon
October 21, 2011
(Cabaret reserved for Theater Members until 9/21/11)
The first major rockabilly artist since Elvis, Robert Gordon is credited for lighting up the roots-rock revival. He broke out with his hit "Red Hot" with a no-holds-barred take on hot-rodded rockabilly and partnered with some of the greatest guitar players in history — Link Wray, Danny Gatton & Chris Spedding. In addition to fronting the Tuff Darts, Robert also hit with Springsteen’s “Fire," rockabilly cult faves like Billy Lee Riley's "Red Hot" & Eddie Cochran's "Twenty Flight Rock" plus charted with the Marshall Crenshaw-penned "Someday, Someway".
