DANCE

Awakened Ruins
September 10-September 17, 2011
There is often more beauty in the corroded than the complete. As part of the 2011 Philly Fringe, this evening-length site-specific dance installation explores the beauty, decay and permanence of the forgotten/antiquated architectural forms that once existed. Accompanied by live violin and piano, five dancers embody the traces of life that remain within these "fallen" forms.
