Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens (PMG) is excited to demonstrate its Philly pride with ART/GAGE: Celebrate Philly Creativity, PMG’s fourth annual summer festival featuring music, dance, poetry, interactive activities and live art. This year, the 1000 block of South Street will be closed off to traffic in order to accommodate more vendors, performers, participating community organizations, and a diverse audience, creating an exciting environment for a street fair that includes over 30 art and food vendors, paired with performances and demonstrations from local organizations. Two hands-on activities are also available. Some refreshments are also provided by Fergies Pub on a first-come-first served basis, but event participants can BYOB their favorite beverages too. 25+ arts vendors are showcasing their hand-crafted jewelry, clothing, paintings, prints, furniture, drawings, ceramics, stationary, books and so much more! Organizations like Aktion Gallery, Paradigm Gallery, Mighty Writers, Philly Aids Thrift and Philly Food Forests will be selling products and hosting great activities while raising awareness about their services, products, and communities. Foods include Dapper Dog (specialty hot dogs and sausages), ButterCream (gourmet cupcakes), Big Dan’s 11th St. Deli (wide variety of sandwiches) and Little Babies Ice Cream (with yummy flavors like Birch Beer Vanilla Bean). There will be a diverse selection of delicious treats, with vegetarian/vegan options as well!
