The Delaware College of Art and Design will open its 15th Annual Faculty Exhibition. Artwork by members of DCAD’s studio faculty will be featured. In this annual show, titled, From the Studio, a variety of media will be featured, providing an opportunity for the area community as well DCAD students to see the work of the instructors. DCAD is Delaware’s first and only professional art and design school. The college offers the Associate of Fine Arts Degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Design and Photography. DCAD was founded in 1997 as a collaborative effort between two of America’s most distinguished art schools, Pratt Institute and the Corcoran College of Art + Design. In its first year of operation, DCAD enrolled 50 full-time degree students. The school now enrolls 220 full-time students, more than half of whom live in college-sponsored housing in downtown Wilmington.
