Fantasy Square Garden with Paper Cat / APPOMATTOX / The Revere FANTASY SQUARE GARDEN Featuring the hugely talented sister team of Ali and Claire Wadsworth, Fantasy Square Garden are inspired by everything from the 60's, most things from the 70's, five things from the 80's, two things from the 90's and nothing from now. They sound like the Zombies...the Hollies...the Jefferson Airplane...a little Skynyrd...a little Shankar...and....West Side Story? http://www.facebook.com/fantasysquaregarden PAPER CAT PAPER CAT is an instrumental avant-post rock trio that features Philadelphians Julie Slick, Eric Slick and NYC guitarist Robbie Seahag Mangano. The band formed on stage in the summer of 2009 as the three musicians performed an experimental set of improvised music. Inspired by the crowd’s enthusiasm, the trio shortly released an album of their recorded show, entitled “Live at John and Peter’s.” PAPER CAT is currently recording songs derived from their in-the-studio improvisations. Their live shows are comprised of these new pieces while continuing their tradition for emotional on the spot jams. The result is a highly dynamic show complete with spacey, contemplative sounds that utilize thrashing, crafty rhythms and gorgeous exotic melodies. http://papercat.bandcamp.com/ APPOMATTOX Appomattox have been stunning music freaks with their uniquely frenzied sound and sneaky-catchy songs since forming in late 03. They are indie rock instant gratification. Fast, loud and awesome. Their tight, heavy, vigorous music, not laden down by too much instrumentation or showiness, has the kick-your-ass heaviness of favorite 90s bands like Fugazi and Shudder to Think yet with a sort of raw, aching quality to the vocals. http://myspace.com/appomattoxrules THE REVERE "THE GREAT CITY", the Revere's first full-length , is the first installment of a two part journey concerning individuals called in a dream to follow the Old Man to an unknown destination.
