Wanamaker Grand Court Organ Centennial Concert with Symphony in C. Peter Richard Conte, organ. Rossen Milanov, conductor. Rossen Milanov conducts Symphony in C in a rare performance with Philadelphia's Wanamaker Organ, celebrating the centennial of the world's largest pipe organ! A special selection of masterly works for organ and orchestra, including Alexandre Guilmant's Symphony No. 2, Joseph Jongen's Hymne Op. 78 for Organ and Orchestra and Charles-Marie Widor's Sixth Symphony in G minor for Organ and Orchestra will showcase the formidable resources of the Wanamaker Organ and the Symphony in C. This special concert is hosted by the Friends of the Wanamaker Organ and Macy's Philadelphia. Please note: this is a ticketed after-hours event; tickets must be purchased in advance.
