The only thing that could possibly stop Chris Cernak from doing what he loves is having it physically taken away from him, which is precisely what happened when Chris lost his voice in 2006 and was forced to stop performing. Now with a family at his side and a new album, Down The Road, Chris is heading back out on the road to once again immerse himself in the career he has always loved: music. With his voice stronger than ever, Chris isn’t taking this summer’s touring opportunity for granted and says "to be able to do this again is truly a dream come true." From the very first notes of Down The Road’s opening track “Downward Spiral", it’s clear that this much darker and introspective than your typical sunny singer-songwriter album. Chris is an incredibly talented songwriter lyrically painting a picture for the listener while creating deep feelings of empathy. Down The Road was recorded with help from engineer Jimmy Goodman (The Strokes, Garth Hudson, Tony Levin, Jane Scarpantoni) and multi-instrumentalist Ross Rice who helps bring songs such as “Downward Spiral” and “Sunday Morning” to life.
