3rd Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Beach Ball

The first couples of Philadelphia Division I college basketball: Ree and Fran Dunphy (Temple University); Judy and Phil Martelli (Saint Joseph’s University); Aida and Jerome Allen (University of Pennsylvania); Rene and Bruiser Flint (Drexel University); Donna and John Giannini (La Salle University); and Patty and Jay Wright (Villanova University) will host a crowd of more than 100 guests to raise funds and awareness to benefit the American Cancer Society. Neil Hartman of Comcast SportsNet will emcee the event. Join the coaches and their wives for a fun evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dancing down the shore to help fight cancer at the 3rd annual Coaches vs. Cancer Beach Ball! All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Coaches vs. Cancer supporters will have the opportunity to bid on unique auction items during the first-ever online auction, which will take place August 6-14, 2011. Item highlights include a Phillies game with Phil Martelli, a round of golf with Fran Dunphy, spend a day with Jay Wright, a trip to the Final Four, sports packages, autographed memorabilia and more. Also, Young Professionals who enjoy the Jersey shore and college basketball can help support the Coaches vs. Cancer program by attending the Young Professionals Network Beach Party earlier that day! Temple Coach Fran Dunphy, Drexel Coach Bruiser Flint and Saint Joseph’s Coach Phil Martelli will make a special appearance at the Golden Inn in Avalon, NJ.
