    Every 9½ minutes someone becomes infected with HIV in the U.S. One out of five people infected with HIV in the U.S. don’t know it. Walk to raise vital funds for those living with HIV and AIDS in the region. Come join the fight on Sunday, October 16, 2011, for the 25th Annual AIDS Walk Philly presented by Merck. AIDS Run Philly is a USATF-certified 5K route on Martin Luther King Drive. The money raised at AIDS Walk Philly goes toward HIV prevention education, public awareness, and HIV care services right here in the greater Philadelphia region. Thirty thousand friends, family and neighbors live with HIV in the region. AIDS Walk Philly is also sponsored by PECO, An Exelon Company; NBC10; Frito-Lay; PGN; and Fairmount Park. On-line registration is easy–and walkers can get their friends to pledge on their personalized page.
