XPN Welcomes Blind Boys Of Alabama with Mutlu
October 13, 2011
Known for their roof-raising live shows appealing to audiences of all cultures, The Blind Boys of Alabama are winners of five Grammy® Awards & four Dove Awards, NEA Lifetime Achievement Award recipients and Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductees. Still fronted by Jimmy Carter since forming in 1939, The Blind Boys performed benefits for Dr. Martin Luther King during the 60’s Civil Rights movement, sung in the White House for three presidents, and earn praise for continually blazing trails for over 70 years as best exemplified on their new album “Take The High Road”. (Cabaret reserved for Theater Members until 9/13/11)
Mutlu will open the show.
