Imagine designing an interesting and informative exhibit detailing a complex story rich with artifacts, multimedia interactives, and more that ALSO has to collapse to a third of its size to the confines of a shaking metal box. Meet the designers of the Pennsylvania Civil War 150 Road Show, which is traveling to all 67 PA counties over the next four years in a double expandable 53-foot tractor-trailer. The Road Show conveys the many different ways Pennsylvania’s men, women, children, and communities experienced the Civil War on the battlefield and the home front. Aaron Goldblatt and Paul Trapido of Metcalfe Architecture & Design will be on hand when the Road Show is at Franklin Square, to talk about the challenges of creating this unique exhibit.
