Kick-off of the South Street Headhouse District's Annual Summer Indie Film Series is only a few days away! Each Wednesday--between June 15th and August 31st, the District will feature an independent film highlighting local filmmakers, stylists, makeup artists and more. All films will be viewed in Headhouse Square on 2nd Street between Pine and Lombard underneath the Historic Shambles. Each week, a guest speaker will introduce the headlining film, followed by the feature presentation shortly after dark. Opening night is June 15th and will feature the film "Hopes & Fears", a local short-story highlighting the good, the bad and the beautiful in Philadelphia. To celebrate the launch of the Series, come around early for an exclusive music performance by Philly's own Jazz and R&B singer, Jeannie Brooks.
