Rain or shine. Concerts in the Sculpture Park expands to include theater and provides a perfect opportunity for friends and families to come together, spread a blanket on the lawn of the Sculpture Park and enjoy theater under the stars! Backing up the event is food and drinks from Trolley Car Diner, kid’s art activities and a special visit to the art galleries. This year, Commonwealth Classic Theatre presents The Tragedy of King Richard III in their acclaimed outdoor production. Richard is a decorated soldier, a war hero, a son, a brother, an uncle and a respected member of the community. He is also a politician with the ambition to hold the ultimate position of power in his country and he will do anything to get what he wants. Come watch Shakespeare’s “bunch back’d toad” crawl up the royal ladder--one body at a time! Abington Art Center and Abington Township’s Parks & Recreation Department co-host this series of Thursday evening events on the Abington Bank Stage in AAC’s Sculpture Park. Donations requested.
