Concerts in the Sculpture Park provide a perfect opportunity for friends and families to come together, spread a blanket on the lawn of the Sculpture Park and listen to the sizzling sounds of the summer music series. Backing up the tunes is lots of dancing, fresh popcorn, food and drinks from Trolley Car Diner, kid’s art activities, and a special visit to the art galleries. The Large Flowerheads enthusiastically bring to life the musical sights and sounds of the ‘60s. Enjoy classic hits from Motown, the British Invasion, American ‘60s Pop, and even some Psychedelic Rock. Relive the days of Flower Power, when peace and love were in the air, and everything was groovy. Abington Art Center and Abington Township’s Parks & Recreation Department co-host this series of Thursday evening concerts on the Abington Bank Stage in AAC’s Sculpture Park. Donations requested.
