Children’s Alopecia Project (“CAP”) is a non-profit organization that promotes awareness, raises funds for research and provides events for children who have all forms of Alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss. CAP assists children with developing self-esteem and coping skills in dealing with this disease via holding events throughout the year and an annual camp for children.

Singer-Songwriter, Lili Añel, a Philadelphia local who recently lost her hair to Alopecia Areata put together the ”Musicians for Children’s Alopecia Project Benefit, in the hopes to raise awareness and funds for this organization. Says Lili “Research for a cure is essential, but something needs to be done to help these kids in the here-and-now. They need to feel good about themselves and progress successfully in their lives, to know that they are viable and loved and belong in the world despite their hair loss. I couldn’t imagine what my life might have been like if I had lost my hair as a kid. CAP is an organization dedicated to helping children and their parents with this disease so that they are not devastated by it.”

Performing at this event: John Byrne, Beaucoup Blue, Lili Añel, James O’Malley and Vance Gilbert and recently crowned Ms. Delaware, Kayla Martell. Special guests TBA.
