CLASSES & WORKSHOPS

Plein Air Painting in Oil or Pastel
June 24-August 12, 2011
Have a craving to paint outdoors but not sure how to begin or what to bring? This class will answer your many questions and get you started creating luscious landscape images. Through use of simplified values and attention to format and composition, learn the basics of creating light-filled plein air studies while painting on the beautiful grounds of a local farm (directions provided upon registration). During inclement weather, class will meet at Darlington and work from photos. Demonstrations, group critiques and individual instruction provided. Recommended for students with some previous experience in either oil or pastel. Class size limited. Bring your own supplies; material list available upon registration (each student will choose to work in oil or pastel). Adults.
