July 4th, 1776 approaches. The Revolutionary War is upon us. Experience Living History as local farmers gather with their wives and children to drill, forming the 11th Pennsylvania Militia, to fight for American Freedom. Overhear Colonists talk about political events, farming, and local gossip. See wool and flax turned into cloth and see our farmer plow the fields with our horse. Try your hand at spinning wool with a drop spindle, harvesting spring vegetables, and pinching some herbs to take home. Sample authentic Colonial Tea. See Colonial Dancing. Enjoy a day in the country, close to home.
