Mazeppa Productions' children’s theater production, Dear Edwina, is a Philadelphia premiere that introduces the musical voices of Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, winners of the Fred Ebb award for songwriting excellence. Directed by Rob Henry, Dear Edwina tells the story of Edwina Spoonapple, who writes and directs a neighborhood variety show that uses song and dance to answer neighborhood children’s questions about numerous issues ranging from fitting in to money management. With warmth and humor, Dear Edwina celebrates the uniqueness of the individual, encouraging all people to “Sing Your Own Song”.
