Our mainstage production is a reinterpretation of Pippin–the Stephen Schwartz/Roger O. Hirson musical--about the son of King Charlemagne who goes on a quest for self-fulfillment lead by a persuasive Leading Player and seductive troupe of performers. Originally directed/choreographed on Broadway by Bob Fosse, this classic musical contains such hit songs as “Magic To Do” and “Corner Of The Sky”. Philly native Matthew Cloran will direct this production, which will bring the sensuality back to this classic musical and infuse Pippin’s journey with a relevancy that reflects the current volatile world.
