    Before there was Philadelphia, there was New Sweden. The American Swedish Historical Museum announces the opening of the Sven Gunnarsson and Jonas Nilsson New Sweden Gallery, on June 7th, 2011. The gallery is dedicated to the New Sweden Colony and the first European settlements in the Delaware Valley, with original art and artifacts, as well as interactive components. Experience part of Philadelphia's earliest history!
