    Capture the thrill of springtime in the midst of Darlington's beautiful landscape. Color relationships, design/composition, simplifying and the benefits of outdoor painting will be discussed. Focus on massing shapes, values, edges, brushwork and color, working directly wet-into-wet to complete a painting in one session. In case of inclement weather, use reference material in the studio to bring the freshness of plein air to studio work. Some shortcomings of photographs and how to translate the image into useful information for paintings will be discussed. For all skill levels. Workshop size limited. Bring your own supplies; material list available upon registration.
