    Join The Schuylkill Center in partnership with Natural Lands Trust and The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources for special event, “Celebrating Conservation: Our Promise for Philadelphia’s Future” presented by PECO. Gather in celebration of Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education's historic conservation easements, which protect Philadelphia’s largest, privately owned open space: their vibrant living classroom. Meet and welcome The Center’s new Executive Director, Mike Weilbacher, and congratulate the 2011 Henry H. Meigs Award winners. Enjoy light fare, entertainment, and spirits! The Henry H. Meigs Environmental Leadership Award Presented to: Michael DiBerardinis, Deputy Mayor for Environmental and Community Resources. The Henry H. Meigs Scholarship Fund Award Presented to: Virginia Friedman, Teacher, The Philadelphia School. While celebrating the conservation easements, and the 2011 Henry H. Meigs Awards winners, enjoy: musical performance from local jazz trio, Wabi Sabi; appearances from The Schuylkill Center’s Wildlife Ambassadors; light fare provided by 12th Street Catering; beer provided by Yards Brewery; VIP ticketholders receive free wine, beer, and cocktails from Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction; mixed media works on paper by MF Cardamone in The Schuylkill Center Gallery. This is an indoor/outdoor event, garden party attire.
