Garden Discovery Series: Springhouse
June 4, 2011
In this series program, visitors will discover secret places in the garden and engage in nature and craft activities with guided instruction. This month, learn how to Make Butter--visit the Arboretum’s Springhouse (one of only a few remaining in Philadelphia) and discover how it was used to keep milk and other perishables cool. While you’re there, help make butter from cream using only a jar, some marbles and your muscles.
