The Winter's Tale
July 15-July 30, 2011
This summer, the Delaware Shakespeare Festival proudly presents Shakespeare’s beautiful, lesser-known romance, The Winter’s Tale. The play tells the story of a suspicious king who wrongly accuses his queen of high treason. Will the virtuous queen prove her innocence? And what will happen to the baby princess secretly raised by shepherds? You won’t want to miss Shakespeare’s epic tale of jealousy, intrigue, love, and the most famous stage direction ever: Exit, pursued by a bear!
The 2011 Delaware Shakespeare Festival production of The Winter’s Tale is generously sponsored by Prestwick House, Inc.
