French and Indian Battle and Camp
June 18, 2011
Witness history, as the French and British fight for control of the frontier. Watch the local militia, lead by a Rodger’s Ranger, discover a French raiding party. See the skirmish which follows. Visit the French and British campsites. Talk to soldiers about their uniforms, weapons and fighting strategy in the Pennsylvania frontier wilderness. The French and Indian War set in motion events driving loyal colonials to revolution. See open hearth cooking, woodworking, and other Colonial activities. Students can interview re-enactors to learn more about the war with an educational sheet included with Admission. Refreshments and souvenirs may be purchased.
