General Turncoat - Cherished memories, magical friendship, warm apple pie and a loving coon hound by your side. These are the heart of Pennsylvania hill folk and the muse which divines General Turncoat's sound. Who is General Turncoat and why do we care so much about them, you may ask? Well, dear reader, the answer, like so many mysteries of the mountain, lies in a riddle. General Turncoat is a fresh zephyr on your cheek, the smell of freshly mown hay, and the feel of a young girls hand held in yours. Heavily laden with the nostalgic imagery of chain gangs, riverboats, peeping Tom's and young cousins bathing in the creek, General Turncoat encapsulates a bygone era of innocence, integrity and idealism. In true revivalist fashion they don period instruments and deliver a gentle reminder of what once was. In an age when man seems to have lost his moral compass and musical artistry has become the playground of machines, what has happened to the simple life we held so dear?
