In scientific circles, Academy of Natural Sciences Curator Dr. Daniel Otte is known as the world’s leading expert on grasshoppers and crickets. Over the past 40 years, he has written more than 100 scientific publications and books, described hundreds of new species, and collected countless specimens from all over the world. He has also created thousands of remarkable drawings of animals ranging from grasshoppers to giraffes.
