"Great Adventures along the Silk Road" Lecture Series: From Venice to Xanadu: Marco Polo's Silk Road Adventure by Dr. Paul M. Cobb. Marco Polo is one of history's most famous medieval travelers, traveling as a young man from Italy to China and achieving great success at the court of the fearsome Mongol Khan. This lecture will show how Marco's many adventures on the Silk Road prepared him for his career in East Asia.
