The comic essence of Blake Edwards’ 1976 film is captured in all its verbal and visual humor. Inspector Jacques Clouseau uses brilliant wit and madcap antics to outsmart Chief Inspector Paul Dreyfus, who has been driven insane by Clouseau’s undeserved success. Determined to destroy Clouseau at all costs, Dreyfus enlists the aid of a cadre of violent criminals and an alluring Russian spy to kidnap a physicist, blackmailing him into building a Doomsday Machine that could vaporize the world. Clouseau stumbles and bumbles his way through one disaster after another to save the world and the beautiful physicist’s daughter. Directed by Wendy McBride.  Produced by Jim Banar and Jane DeKorte. Written by William Gleason.  Based on the film by Blake Edwards and Frank Waldman.  Produced by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.
