Ross Mitchell has gathered years of material for dinner-table conversations after working as an artist, historic preservationist and arts educator. For seven years Mitchell was the gallery director of the Barnes Foundation, he is the first executive director of the de Mazia Foundation and he is the vice-president of the Lower Merion Historical Society. Join Ross in the newly-restored Little Abington Meetinghouse for the first of three evening conversations where Ross will discuss his work in historic preservation including the 1695 Merion Friends Meeting House, the hard lessons of La Ronda’s demolition, Laurel Hill Cemetery and other intriguing projects. The discussion is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Sponsored by the Jenkinstown Lyceum. The Little Abington Meetinghouse is in the Art Center's Sculpture Park on Jenkintown Road at Fisher Road.
