Family Jams: Calligrammes
April 10, 2011
In collaboration with the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA), we are looking back 100 years to gain inspiration from early 20th century Parisian artists. Join PMG in playing with words from the Magic Gardens at April’s Family Jam. Make your own calligram (concrete poem) inspired by poet Guillaume Apollinaire, and enjoy music by Claude Debussey, a composer of the time period. Join PMG every second Sunday for a variety of mosaic-themed, hands-on workshops and kid-friendly tours. Past Family Jams have included book arts projects, poetry workshops, paper mosaics, tile pin-making, and special guest performances.
