    Melding country with rock, Joe Ely just doesn’t sing about rivers & ranches, of smoldering passions & sad laments, faraway longing & unrequited love... he lives it! Joe is a wandering minstrel, gypsy cowboy, visionary song poet and house-rocker on fire. This Lubbock native released over a dozen albums featuring Americana classics “The Road Goes On Forever”, “She Never Spoke Spanish To Me”, “All Just To Get To You”, “Me And Billy The Kid” & of course “Dallas” with his Flatlanders compadres Jimmie Dale Gilmore & Butch Hancock... and many of Ely’s friends - including Bruce Springsteen & Raul Malo - sung on his albums.
