Mega-Bad Movie Night
April 14, 2011
A mutant strain of giant ferocious piranha escape from the Amazon and are eating their way toward Florida! They were created to save mankind…and then something went terribly, terribly wrong. Come to the Academy of Natural Sciences after hours to watch this “awesomely awful” movie, starring 80s pop singer Tiffany and Barry Williams from television's The Brady Bunch. The Academy’s experts will be on stage to comment on the many scientific absurdities and generally poor filming: think Mystery Science Theater 3000. Reception includes beer and snacks. See a piranha skeleton and a 9-million-year-old Megapiranha fossil from the Academy's specimen collection.
