Learn about the important role trees play in the environment, the many uses of trees in the everyday world, and enjoy talks and tours highlighting Longwood’s Champion trees. This three-week long celebration honors the International Year of the Forest as declared by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness on sustainable management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests around the globe. Don’t miss the exhibit, Notes from the Forest, as you embark on a journey to discover how certain trees become world-class instruments.
