The Brandywine Valley encompasses an area of rolling countryside set about 4 miles outside the city of Philadelphia. There are so many wonderful Brandywine attractions in the area it’s hard to choose. The most popular include Longwood Gardens, Winterthur Country Museum and Estate, Brandywine River Museum, the Nemours Mansion and the Hagley Museum. Any one of these can take at least half a day to visit, so you will have to make some hard choices. And of course, there are also a number of wineries, one of which, Chadd’s Ford Winery provides regular tours and tastings. As well as these attractions, your guide will be happy to take you around the Brandywine Battlefield site, and drop you at a number of restaurants for lunch, if you don’t choose to eat in the cafés provided at the attractions.
