Ilana Shafir began painting and drawing as a young girl. After fleeing from the Nazi regime, she reestablished herself and her artistic techniques through watercolor and mosaic. Shafir's accomplishments in these two media have garnered her numerous awards and global notoriety. Shafir, a dynamic speaker and life-long educator featured at conferences worldwide, will offer a special lecture about her work. This lecture amidst her current exhibition at PMG, "Of Heaven and Earth: The Artworks of Ilana Shafir," is free and open to the public.
