Under the name John Wesley Harding, novelist, singer and songwriter Wesley Stace has released 15 albums in genres ranging from folk to pop music. He has performed on stage with artists such as Rosanne Cash and Bruce Springsteen, and his songs have been featured in major motion pictures, including High Fidelity. Stace’s critically acclaimed debut novel, Misfortune, was nominated for the Guardian First Book Award, and his second novel, By George, was named one of the New York Public Library’s Books to Remember for 2007. Stace’s new novel follows the decline and scandalous death of Charles Jessold, a fictive early 20th century classical music composer. David Levithan is the author of several highly acclaimed young adult novels. His first novel for adults, The Lovers Dictionary, tells the story of a modern romance in the style of short dictionary entries, progressing alphabetically through words in an episodic narrative that ultimately defines what it means to be in love.
