Wild Things Whirligig
March 19-March 20, 2011
Go wild at the Rosenbach with an interactive, imaginative opera filled with timeless melodies and laugh-out-loud fun! The work was created by Karen Saillant, the Artistic Director at the International Opera Theater. The story weaves together characters from Maurice Sendak’s work (including Where the Wild Things Are) with music by masters who inspired him, like Mozart! The performance is part of the Sendak in Spring Festival. Drop in anytime to participate in an interactive storytelling session led by storyteller Irma Gardner-Hammond, learn about world instruments from Papa Ed, create a 3D book with renowned book artists Jude Robison and Kay Healy, or see the new Sendak exhibit: Elements of Style.
