Conversations with the Curator: The Civil War Begins
March 10, 2011
Meet exhibition curator Kathy Haas and get the inside scoop on our exhibition The Civil War Begins! Kathy will introduce you to key aspects of the exhibition and be on hand to answer questions as you explore the exhibition further. The Rosenbach commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Civil War with this exhibition focusing on the causes of the war, both long term and proximate, and on the opening confrontations in the war, including the firing on Fort Sumter, the death of Elmer Ellsworth (the first casualty of the war), and the First Battle of Bull Run.
