After the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the nation was challenged to reach an appropriate balance between enforcing legitimate security measures and protecting the essential civil liberties of a free society. At this teacher workshop, Dr. Michael Karpyn of Marple Newtown Senior High School will compare events and stories from the Civil War and modern conflicts. Attendance qualifies for two hours of Act 48 credit. Teachers must register in advance.
